The 2025 Battlebots Competition was hosted by the Hawaii Science and Technology Museum during the VEX Robotics off-season. It was a fun way to help students like you stay excited about STEM all year long!
The competition took place during AstroDay at the Prince Kuhio Plaza on May 3rd, 2024.
Waiākea Intermediate School joined the event with three awesome teams!
Competition Rules
Robot must be built out of current competition legal VEX IQ or Hexbug parts
Up to two brains per robot
Up to two batteries per robot
Up to two drivers per robot
Unlimited motors
Unlimited size
No projectiles
Parts may be modified, but no sharpened or otherwise inherently unsafe parts.
Competitors must wear safety glasses.
Game Length: 2 Minutes
Victory Condition:
Matches end upon incapacitation of one robot (robot can no longer move, or has been tossed out of the competition field)
If both robots are still functioning after two minutes referee will make final decision
