Is Robotics Right For you?
Waiākea Intermediate Robotics gives students the chance to explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) by building and working together as a team. In our program, we don’t just build robots—we build skills, creativity, and confidence.
To be part of our robotics team, you should be curious, excited to try new things, and ready to take on challenges. We’re looking for students who are willing to work hard, help their teammates, and dream big! Being on the team means making robotics a priority. Our practice and event schedule is rigorous and time consuming. Sometimes you might need to choose robotics practice instead of other after-school or weekend activities.
The more effort and time you give, the stronger your robot—and you—will become!
Our team members will:
Act with integrity, honesty, and reliability
Behave in a respectful and professional manner.
Exhibit maturity and professionalism when dealing with difficult and stressful situations
Respect individual differences
Respect the facility and equipment provided.
Follow all rules as listed in the current game manual(s)
Operate as student-centered teams according to the Student Centered Policy
Prioritize safety in actions and design
Demonstrate good sportsmanship.
